     Annales Universitatis Apulensis. Series Philologica is a scientific and cultural periodical edited by the Department of Philology - Center for Philological Research and Multicultural Dialogue, Faculty of History, Philology and Educational Sciences of the 1 Decembrie 1918 University of Alba Iulia (Romania). We accept for publishing research articles in the field of Arts and Humanities, which deal with current aspects of the national and international cultural phenomena (languages and literatures in a European context, literary history and criticism, philosophy of culture, history of arts, folklore and ethnology, language teaching methodology, etc.), essays, book reviews and literary medallions of university professors and/or researchers from Romania and abroad. It is included in the following international databases: ERIH PLUSCEEOL (Central and Eastern European Online Library), EBSCO and is indexed by The National Council for Scientific Research in Academic Education, Cathegory B.


Articles submitted for publication are independently reviewed by two members of the scientific committee, without knowing who the author is. Articles received may be accepted without changes or may be returned to authors to be modified when changes are necessary. Rejection of an article will be motivated and explained to authors. Unpublished manuscripts will not be returned to authors.


Since 2022, our journal is an Open Access one; all content is freely available without any charge and readers are allowed to search, download, distribute or print to the full text of the articles. Readers and researchers have the obligation to correctly and completely indicate the cited source, according to the deontological norms and international legislation.


Contributors from abroad may publish in Annales Universitatis Apulensis. Series Philologica scientific papers in English, French, German, Italy or Spanish, accompanied by an abstract in English.
